About us
Polish school “Eureka” promotes experience-oriented learning with positive motivation, and an individual approach to each student. All our classes are conducted in Polish and are led by experienced and recognized teachers whose native language is Polish. On top of that we run a kindergarten, extra clubs for kids, youth and organize events that promote polish language and culture like workshops, contests, exhibitions etc.
We are a polish school named “Eureka” that operates beyond political, religious, or social divisions in order to reach as many people as possible without leaving anyone behind. We originate from an old non-profit organization “Daskalia vzw”, founded in 2013. Our aim is to overcome cultural and language barriers by participating and organizing cultural and educational projects. We cooperate with many institutions from representatives of our beautiful city of Leuven and teachers from KU Leuven (e.g. Anna Kisiel) to the Polish Ministry of Education, Polish Embassy, Polish foundations (e.g. “Freedom and Democracy”, “Polish Community”), as well as Polish organizations based here in Belgium (e.g. “Polish School Association in Belgium”, “Polish Historical Memory Group”, “Polish Scouts: ZHP Belgia”) and other Polish schools.
The patron of our school is Maria Skłodowska-Curie, the first woman who was awarded with two Nobel Prizes for her discoveries. That is why we promote experience-oriented learning with positive motivation and an individual approach to our students, encouraging their curiosity.
We also provide supplementary education in the field of Polish history with elements of geography, social communication, and catechesis. Our upcoming projects are opening on Wednesdays second kindergarten, remedial classes and extra fun activities for older children like: “Science Club” "Master Chef Class", "Board Games Club", "Film and Animation Club". Maintaining Polish national traditions and ties with the home country, as well as introducing students to the heritage of Polish national culture is something we do with pride and joy.
